Welcome to the Ams lab webpage! The Ams lab is an organic chemistry group at New Mexico Tech. Our interdisciplinary research uses a wide range of techniques including organic synthesis, NMR spectroscopy, crystallography, and computational chemistry for studying various aspects of molecular recognition. We have a number of ongoing projects (see Research tab), and our latest research initiatives include: (a) Cooperativity in hydrophobic clefts, (b) new supramolecular synthons using chalcogens, and (c) new abiotic self-replicating systems.
